How to Use Manual Agents in Embra

Introduction

Manual agents in Embra let you decide when and how to bring AI into your workflow. Unlike automated agents, which run based on triggers, manual agents allow for on-demand AI assistance, helping with tasks like writing emails, summarizing documents, or researching information.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through creating and configuring a manual agent to fit your workflow.

Step 1: Creating a New Manual Agent

  1. Go to the Agents page in Embra.
  2. Click Create New Agent.
  3. Choose Manual Agent (instead of Automated).

A manual agent can be invoked whenever you need it, making it perfect for repetitive but non-scheduled tasks.

Step 2: Naming Your Agent & Adding a Prompt

Each agent consists of:

Agent Name – Example: "Email Writer"

Prompt – A short instruction, e.g., "Help me write an email."

Once saved, this agent will be available whenever you need to generate an email.

Step 3: Adding Input Variables for Customization

You can make manual agents more powerful by adding input variables.

Example:

When running the agent, you’ll be able to fill in these variables dynamically, making your AI responses more tailored.
